Double-Storey Extension & Renovation

This project involved transforming a dark and cramped double-storey home in Maroubra to better suit the needs of a growing family. The owners required more space, improved natural light, and a layout that supported modern family living, both upstairs and on the ground level.

The works included a full internal renovation and a new double-storey rear extension. The ground floor was opened up to create a generous, light-filled kitchen, dining and living space featuring a large architectural window overlooking the pool and backyard. This open-plan layout significantly improved flow, functionality and connection to the outdoor areas.

Upstairs, the extension allowed for the addition of two new bedrooms and a new bathroom. The final layout now includes a master bedroom with walk-in wardrobe and ensuite, a study area, and two additional bedrooms — delivering the space and practicality the family needed.

The result is a bright, spacious and uplifting home with a modern layout and thoughtful upgrades throughout, designed to grow with the family for years to come.
